Why Mike Tyson Might Get Knocked Out Against Lennox Lewis
Legendary heavyweight Mike Tyson has had his fair share of rivalries over the years. While the battles with Evander Holyfield drew global fame, his fight against Lennox Lewis showed the violent side of both fighters. And it now appears as though the two will re-ignite their feud.
‘Iron Mike’ claimed he would face his old-foe Lewis in September after the Holyfield fight fell through. So ahead of a potential Tyson-Lewis rematch, we look at why Mike Tyson might get knocked out yet again.

The 50-6 boxer met Lewis back in 2003, and after a fiery build-up to the contest, Lewis dismantled ‘Iron Mike’ and knocked him out in the eighth round. Since retirement, both fighters followed different paths.
Tyson got into many bad habits and put on a lot of weight, while Lewis led a fairly quiet life. Now, at 54 and 55, respectively, both fighters have to get back in shape again. However, Tyson has already put his body through a rigorous training camp for his bout against Roy Jones Jr.
This could influence the former champion, since it may be only a matter of time before his aging body cannot keep up with his training. For Lewis, on the other hand, this will be the first camp, and thus, he may be a lot fresher.

Other reasons Lennox Lewis could knockout Mike Tyson
After his bout against Roy Jones Jr., Tyson assured fans he would continue to train and fight. However, the former heavyweight champion has provided no update on his training and has focused his attention on his podcast.
Moreover, Lewis is easily the bigger of the two, with an incredible 13-inch reach advantage and a 7-inch height advantage over ‘Iron Mike’. And like in the first fight, ‘The Lion’ could use his jab to keep Tyson at bay and knock him out late in the fight.
Thus, these are some reasons Tyson may regret taking a fight against Lennox Lewis. While it is not a given that Lewis will knock him out, it would be no surprise if we see a knockout. However, the rules may prohibit either fighter from going for the knockout, like with the Jones Jr. fight.
