WWE has rebranded one of its traditional post-WrestleMania events to make the most out of its Peacock move – and we’re just weeks away.

The Show of Shows itself is in the history books after last month’s double header saw fans return for the first time in over a year with a live audience descending on Raymond James Stadium.

As it stands, we’re not sure exactly how the next few months will unfold, including when crowds will be back on a regular basis – although we do know whether WWE next allows fans, it will be a permanent move rather than another one-off.

With that said, there’s a couple of shows in the pipeline, with one officially confirmed and one sure to be added in the near future.

There’s also been a recent cancellation for NXT UK fans, and we’ll bring you the details of that further down.

Here’s the current schedule…

WWE pay-per-view schedule 2021

  • WWE WrestleMania Backlash (May 16)
  • WWE Money In The Bank (June 20)

When is WWE WrestleMania Backlash 2021?

Fans weren’t quite sure what to make of the name change when WWE added the WrestleMania tagline to Backlash.

It seems like a pretty clear move to capitalise on potential new fans searching through Peacock by boosting the ‘Mania brand – although you’d hope this will just be a one-off given its the first pay-per-view since the granddaddy of them all.

As it stands, there are just two matches confirmed thus far, but still plenty of time for WWE to fill out the card – which takes place on May 16 at the ThunderDome, the venue for all shows at the moment.

In terms of what’s been officially announced, the show will see WWE Champion Bobby Lashley puts the gold on the line against both Drew McIntyre and Braun Strowman.

We’ll also see Bianca Belair defend her SmackDown Women’s Title against Bayley in what should be a show stealing match.

When is WWE Money In The Bank 2021?

This one isn’t quite set in stone, but it’s widely reported to be taking place on June 20, which was originally set for Backlash (similar to the 2020 schedule).

However, WWE – perhaps due to the WrestleMania branding – switched things round, with Backlash being moved to the May 16 event, leaving the June date all clear for Money In The Bank.

It’s a while off so there’s nothing really announced yet, although there’s the guarantee of two versions of the titular ladder match.

Last year’s event saw the two matches combined as the men and women battled up WWE’s Titan Tower headquarters to a ring on the roof, each trying to capture the respective briefcase and earn a championship opportunity.

Otis won the men’s one, but would eventually lose it to The Miz – who successfully cashed in on Drew McIntyre in February this year, only to drop the title to Bobby Lashley a few days later).

Asuka captured the women’s briefcase, and the very next night on Raw Becky Lynch gave up the gold after revealing she was pregnant – before announcing the Empress of Tomorrow had actually won the title, rather than a contract for a championship match.

WWE NXT UK TakeOver Dublin – cancelled

Sad news for NXT UK fans, as this summer’s planned TakeOver Dublin show – originally scheduled for April 2020 and postponed several times – has been officially cancelled.

WWE hadn’t referred to the event in quite some time and this move was definitely expected for a while.

In a statement, it was confirmed: ‘NXTUK Live: Dublin scheduled to take place at 3Arena, Dublin on Sunday, June 20 2021 has been cancelled.

‘Refunds will be available from point of purchase.’

With the roadmap out of lockdown progressing in the UK, fans will be hoping for a TakeOver event of some kind, although there’s no indication yet on where that could take place.
