Billie Eilish has hit out at people who praised her for seemingly embracing her appearance after she wore a form-fitting top.

The star was seen wearing a tank top while out in Los Angeles in October rather than her usual loose attire.

At the time, the singer, 19, went for a casual look as she stepped out in California in the top and a pair of shorts.

And she has now said she was actually ‘really offended’ that people were impressed with her actions.

She told Vogue: ‘It made me really offended when people were like, “Good for her for feeling comfortable in her bigger skin.” Jesus Christ?! Good for me? F**k off!’

She added: ‘The more the internet and the world care about somebody that’s doing something they’re not used to, they put it on such a high pedestal that then it’s even worse.’

The singer looked stylish in a shoot for the publication during which she wore a custom corset.

Sharing the cover shot on her Instagram page, she wrote: ‘@britishvogue cover thank you to @edward_enninful, @denagia, @craigmcdeanstudio, @jilldemling and the british vogue team for respecting my vision and making this come to life. [sic]

‘custom corset and skirt by @gucci, bra and panties by @agentprovocateur, latex gloves by @atsukokudolatex, jewelry by @jacquieaiche & @anitakojewelry. [sic].’

In another post, she added: ‘i love these pictures and i loved doing this shoot. do whatever you want whenever you want. F**k everything else. [sic]’

Billie told the publication: ‘Somehow, I feel more like a woman,’ before adding: ‘It’s all about what makes you feel good. If you want to get surgery, go get surgery.

‘If you want to wear a dress that somebody thinks that you look too big wearing, f**k it – if you feel like you look good, you look good.’
