Eddy Reynoso Brands Deontay Wilder ‘Dangerous Opponent’ After Andy Ruiz Jr.’s Performance Against Chris Arreola

Eddy Reynoso feels Andy Ruiz Jr. might need one more fight to prepare himself for a showdown against Deontay Wilder in the future. Although the current title picture validates a matchup between them, Ruiz Jr’s coach might not be very pleased with his performance against Arreola.

Ending over a year-long lay-off, Andy Ruiz Jr’s highly anticipated fight went the distance. It was a close fight where both men had their moments. While Chris Arreola troubled and knocked ‘Destroyer’ down, Deontay Wilder might bring an even deadlier outcome.

Eddy Reynoso believes this. While congratulating his fighter, he responded to his pupil potentially boxing ‘The Bronze Bomber’.

“We got to work hard for that one. It’s a complicated fight, and it’s dangerous. You have to work and correct mistakes,” said Eddy Reynoso. (H/T: Boxing News 24/7)

He added, “I at least want him to have one more fight and four to five months of consistent training. Overall, in six months, he will be ready.”

Andy Ruiz Jr., who appeared happy with his return, vowed to target another fight shortly. While it’s time to celebrate the victory, ‘Destroyer’ already seems eager for one more match.

Andy Ruiz Jr. vs Deontay Wilder- Is it an important fight?

Both Wilder and Ruiz Jr. are looking to regain their lost titles. Andy Ruiz Jr., who lost his unified belts to Anthony Joshua in 2019, returned this week to beat ‘The Nightmare’ Arreola. But Deontay Wilder has remained silent on his career after suffering his maiden defeat to Tyson Fury in the WBC title fight last February.

A fight between Ruiz Jr. and Wilder can be alluring to watch. The Mexican heavyweight has never been knocked out, and Wilder is one of the all-time elite KO artists in the sport. That said, Wider, who hasn’t retired, will always be in the mix to box against the top heavyweight contenders.

Given Reynoso’s timeline, this fight could see daylight by the end of the year. If it gets booked, who do you think will win? Andy Ruiz Jr. or Deontay Wilder?
