WWE Hall of Famer Molly Holly has revealed an ‘old school wrestler’ once asked her to ‘motorboat’ Trish Stratus during a match.

The former Women’s Champion – who was honoured by the company during last month’s Hall of Fame ceremony – has opened up on one of the most baffling moments of her career, although she refused to name the person in question.

Speaking to Sean ‘X-Pac’ Waltman on the Pro Wrestling 4-Life podcast – as transcribed by Fightful – she said: ‘Before Fit Finlay became our agent, they had tried out a few other agents.

‘And I’m not going to name names, but there is an old school wrestler, who I love as a person, who got tried out as one of our agents and no lie is like, “Why don’t we do this spot where you put your face in Trish’s boobs and [motorboat].”

‘I’m like, “What? What are you talking about? Are we rewinding time?” It was awful.’

Despite being on good terms with the wrestler in question, Molly was mortified by the suggestion and went to John Laurinaitis about the incident, while noting they ‘didn’t mean any harm’.

She explained: ‘I actually told John Laurinaitis, who was Head of Talent Relations, “This guy is going to get in trouble for sexual harassment. He does not mean any harm, he’s just thinking like he’s never seen our show before and doesn’t know what we can do.” ‘

Instead of the wrestler taking over the backstage role, Irish bruiser Finlay was given the job, and the rest is history as his impact on the women’s division has been highly praised by everyone from Bayley, Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch to Jazz, the Bella Twins and Trish Stratus.

‘That’s when Fit Finlay was brought in and it was awesome,’ Molly recalled. ‘Fit was like, “You can rip her head off and throw her over the top rope!”

‘He was excited about making it happen and it totally changed what we were allowed to do and how it worked.’

Meanwhile, Molly also revealed how her only real conversation with boss Vince McMahon went, as she never spoke to him for five years until asking for her release in 2005.

‘Vince was great. I first went in and told him all about how my career has been such a blessing. The fact that I got to wrestle in 15 different countries, I would have never seen those places if it wasn’t for him,’ she admitted.

‘I got good retirement savings because of how he paid me. I wanted to let him know this was an amazing experience and I was so grateful, and I feel complete and I would like to be let out of my contract.

‘I didn’t want to work anywhere else, I just felt complete. He spent like 10 minutes telling me how important I was to the business, how much he appreciated my work ethic, what a great champion I was.

‘He just complimented me for 10 minutes and said if I ever wanted to come back, the door was always open. He shook my hand and that was it.’
