Jeff Mayweather Gets Real About Floyd Mayweather: “Floyd Is Still Fighting for the F***ing Money”

Floyd Mayweather has competed against several combatants, putting himself against MMA fighters, kickboxers, and even WWE superstars. However, the undefeated pugilist has never faced a YouTuber, and Logan Paul will be the first from the community to have a crack at the five-division champion.

50-0 as a professional, Floyd Mayweather, who has enjoyed a Hall-Of-Fame-worthy career, has nothing more to prove. He is arguably the best boxer of all time. Hence, facing a YouTuber might not suit his legacy. However, Jeff Mayweather revealed why ‘Money May’ is taking the step.

On The Mayweather Channel, Jeff Mayweather said, “It is about the f*** money, that’s the same thing. Why do you think Floyd is fighting? Floyd is still fighting for the f**** money. So why the f*** Logan Paul [is fighting?] because Floyd has way more money than f**** Logan Paul dude.”

He added, “He is fighting for money because he like the money. Just like Logan like the money.”

There’s no denying Logan Paul is a popular personality and can grab a lot of attention. Hence, Mayweather seems to be allured by the idea of staging an epic PPV event. He last appeared in 2018 and fought Tenshin Nasukawa. Now, three years later, boxing fans will look forward to seeing him return to action in a massive crossover that may shake many PPV records.

Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul- Every Detail you need to know

The exhibition matchup will take place on June 6 at the Hard Rock Stadium in the USA and will be available live on PPV via Fanmio and Showtime. However, the matchup seems bizarre to the fight fans for the obvious reasons. Logan Paul, who has appeared only in 1 pro fight, ended up on the losing vertical against KSI. Hence, he doesn’t fall in a similar bracket with Floyd Mayweather.

While Mayweather’s fight against McGregor reportedly made $4.3 million PPV buys, it would be interesting to see whether Logan Paul vs Floyd Mayweather can bring a bigger number.
