Lil Nas X has revealed he will be performing a new and unreleased song on an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live.

Taking to Twitter, Lil Nas X – real name Montero Lamar Hill – shared a photo revealing he is due to make his appearance on the show alongside actress Anya Taylor-Joy.

The rapper has kept so tight-lipped about the new track, we don’t even know the name.

As well as the mysterious new song he will be performing his latest single Montero (Call Me By Your Name).

The 21-year-old dropped the long-awaited song earlier this year, and fans were shocked to see the rapper pole-dancing in hell, being shackled by captors in Regency-era wings, and giving the devil a lapdance.

The internet-breaking song has been number one on the Billboard Hot 100 multiple times, with Montero being Lil Nas X’s first track to debut at the top spot.

It also remains at number one on the global Spotify chart with 6.197 million streams, having spent 27 days there.

The chart success comes amid the ongoing backlash he has received for the accompanying music video.

The hitmaker couldn’t resist taking a dig at those who have been against his career as he quipped: ‘i hope my haters are sad. i hope they are crying. i want your tears to fill my grammy cup. (sic)’

If the last song is anything to go by, we’re sure his new track is going to be just as show-stopping.

Saturday Night Live airs on NBC in the US.
