Comedian Jayde Adams fired back at an online troll who criticised her appearance in the Channel 4 programme Snackmasters.

Snackmasters pits two professional chefs against each other to try and recreate a popular snack in their kitchens, making it as close to the original as possible.

Jayde appears in segments of the show that explain how the snack of the week is made in the factory, chatting to members of staff about their roles.

On Monday night the TV star, 36, fired back at a Twitter user who said her appearance on the programme shows viewers ‘what eating snacks like advertised on your show how bad they are for you [sic]’.

They wrote: ‘Well done @Snackmasters_C4 for the very clever move of having @jaydeadams as a presenter. Her #obesity is great to show people what eating snacks like advertised on your show how bad they are for you Thumbs up well done !!’

Jayde responded with a surgical takedown, quote-tweeting the mean comment into her own timeline and adding a perfect humble-brag.

‘I’m fat because of all the Michelin restaurants I eat at and all the luxurious sitting down I do, writing comedy for TV. Gosh, I love my life x’ she wrote.

In a further tweet she shared a link to her fashion collab with SOS Clothing, a T-shirt bearing a cartoon version of the TV star and the slogan ‘Rather be fat than basic’.

Another of her followers showed their support, writing: ‘Yes Jayde, and as if they’re ever worried about our health, ffs.’

‘Sod them. Love your work,’ said another while one comment read: ‘I’d love your life too’.

When one of her fans commented that ‘everyone needs a Jayde in their life’, she tweeted: ‘I’m just about to eat an Ocado, Hawksmoor fillet steak with chips I’ve been making for 2 days at 9:20pm. I can’t wait x’

Colour us green with envy, Jayde!
