Billie Eilish went on her first ever date this year
Billie Eilish went on a date for the first time this year.
The 19-year-old broke the internet this week as her British Vogue cover was released, showing a whole different – but equally fashion forward – side to the Bad Guy singer.
Accompanying the jaw-dropping shoot was a video in which Billie was asked questions by a host of celebrities, including Missy Elliot, Justin and Hailey Bieber, Halle Berry, Tim Burton, Orlando Bloom, Jodie Comer, Mel C, Stormzy, Arlo Parks, Avril Lavigne and her brother Finneas.
Singer Dominic Fike’s question was: ‘When was the last time you did something for the first time?’, and while what first popped into Billie’s head was too explicit, she gave a rather sweet answer.
The Your Power singer said: ‘Yikes, the answer is really explicit. So I’m not gonna answer with that. Let me say, I went on a date for the first time yesterday.’
She added there were others, but ‘those are just for in here’, tapping her head.
Billie recently opened up about a past relationship with Brandon Quention Adams, a rapper who goes by the name of 7:AMP but who she refers to as Q, in her documentary Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry, having broken up with him by the end of filming.
She said: ‘I just wasn’t happy. I didn’t want the same things he wanted and I don’t think that’s fair for him. I don’t think you should be in a relationship super excited about things that the other person couldn’t care less about. I don’t think that’s fair to you. I don’t think that’s fair to him.
‘There was just a lack of effort. I was literally like, “Dude, you don’t have enough love to love yourself so you can’t love me, dude. And you don’t. [laughs] You think you do.”’
In the Apple TV+ doc, Billie was heard telling a friend that Q hadn’t got her anything for Valentine’s Day, saying: ‘Haven’t gotten anything. And the night before, he’d been really weird and distant and s***.’
She did not reveal the identity of her latest date, although Billie was recently rumoured to be getting close to actor Matthew Tyler Vorce.
Billie has been praised for her stunning Vogue shoot, for which she swapped her usual baggy fit for a custom Gucci corset, Agent Provocateur underwear and latex gloves from Atsuko Kudo.
Predicting the backlash from people due to her embracing her sexy side, the Grammy winner told the magazine: ‘“If you’re about body positivity, why would you wear a corset? Why wouldn’t you show your actual body?” My thing is that I can do whatever I want.
‘It’s all about what makes you feel good. If you want to get surgery, go get surgery. If you want to wear a dress that somebody thinks that you look too big wearing, f*** it – if you feel like you look good, you look good.’
Along with her new blonde hair – quite the reinvention from her black and neon green do of 2020 – Billie is bringing in a new era of music, with her second album set for release this summer.
