Tiffany Haddish prepares to adopt after ‘selling a bunch of her eggs’ while desperate for cash aged 21
Tiffany Haddish has revealed she is taking parenting classes in preparation to adopt a child after selling ‘a bunch’ of her eggs when she was desperate for cash.
The Girls Trip actress, who is currently dating rapper Common, hopes to become a first-time mum in the near future.
However, she refuses to go down the surrogacy route to conceive her own child due to the toll it can take on the body.
Opening up about her family planning, Tiffany told E!’s Daily Pop: ‘I’m taking parenting classes now to adopt. I’m looking at, you know, five and up — really like seven. I want them to be able to know how to use the restroom on their own and talk.
‘I want them to know that I put in the work and I wanted them.’
She added of surrogacy: ‘I don’t wanna pay no body to carry my baby neither, ’cause then I have to go through a process of giving myself injections and all that stuff.’
Tiffany, who hosts Kids Say The Darndest Things, then revealed how she sold a number of her eggs while broke in her younger years.
‘And I already gave up— here goes something everybody don’t know, I’m gonna tell you: When I was 21 I was really hard up for some money and I gave up a bunch of eggs,’ she revealed.
‘So who knows. I might got some kids out here in these streets. I doubt it, though, because I never got the bonus. Maybe somewhere though, in cryo somewhere!’
Tiffany has been in a relationship with actor and rapper Common, 49, since last year and went on to joke that it would be an ‘act of God’ if she were to fall pregnant as they have been using contraception.
‘Now, if that did happen, we gon’ hire some help, then we’re gonna cry a lot. … And I’m not gonna be “baby mama”, I’m gonna be “wife”,’ she joked.
Common, real name Lonnie Lynn, is already a father to 24-year-old daughter Omoye, who he shares with ex-girlfriend Kim Jones.
