‘A breath of fresh air’: Loose Women viewers celebrate all-Black panel and wish episode was longer
Loose Women was celebrated by audiences as an all-Black panel took the reins for today’s episode.
Charlene White led Thursday’s episode and was joined by Kelle Bryan, Judi Love and Brenda Edwards.
The presenters all appeared in the ITV studios at a social distance and discussed a range of topics, including whether it’s ok to go on holiday with your ex, and whether Prince William and Kate’s YouTube channel will make them cool with the kids.
They also interviewed Stuart Lawrence, the brother of the late Stephen Lawrence, who was killed 28 years ago in an unprovoked racially motivated attack.
The episode marked the first time Kelle met her co-stars Charlene and Judi in the flesh.
‘It’s really weird to have done the show with you so often since summer last year and to never have met you,’ Charlene said. ‘And of course we can’t hug because of Covid restrictions, but I did cry because I was super emotional this morning.
‘We had a lovely little socially distanced moment,’ Kelle agreed.
‘It’s just lovely to be here with all of you lot to be honest,’ Judi added a few minutes later.
Viewers were over the moon to see the presenters together and rushed to spread the love on social media.
‘Loving the panel today. A breath of fresh air compared to the usual suspects,’ one enthused.
Echoing a similar sentiment, another added: ‘Today’s #LooseWomen was over far too quickly. Hilarious as always when today’s panel are together. Thanks for the laughs ladies.’
This isn’t the first time Charlene, Kelle, Judi and Brenda have fronted the ITV show together.
In October, the four presenters made Loose Women history as they hosted the programme altogether for the first time in the show’s 22-year history.
Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
