Matt told WSJ Magazine: “I can’t speak for anybody but myself, but I think the women appreciated it.
“Because I did learn things about them that I hadn’t gathered — that I don’t think I would have learned if I hadn’t used that time to really dive deeper into something that they might not have been comfortable talking about on camera.”
He also spoke of trying to make his relationship with Rachael Kirkconnell work sharing: “I think the best way to put it is that we can have critical conversations about being in this relationship and what I need in a partner — especially if that woman isn’t Black — to understand what comes with me and my life and being Black.
“It’s on people who care about being allies to do the work to be truly antiracist. And I think it’s unfair to leave people without the ability to unlearn and be better.”

Matt broke up with her after she was accused of racist behavior for attending a 2018 Antebellum party and “liking” photos of friends posing with Confederate flags.
However, Matt recently confirmed he and Rachel are back on, telling People: “I’ve seen Rachael a handful of times.
“I’m not pursuing any relationships right now outside of that. I said I was going to focus on my relationship with her and that means focusing on it.”

The insider explained: “He knows he messed up and broke her trust. He got caught and he’s trying to fix the mess he made.
“She keeps vowing to not take him back but each time she still does. She really believes Matt is her person and doesn’t want to give up on him even though her family is skeptical.”

Rachael, 24, and the former Bachelor have been spotted together in Los Angeles and Orange County last month, but the source claimed they are continuing to “take things slowly.”
“They aren’t officially back together yet but are working things out again,” they added.
In terms of change for their future, the insidersaid: “He’s promised to be transparent, more communicative and completely truthful moving forward and insists he will keep his word.
“He plans to address the rumors that have been floating around about him, Rachael and Grace in the near future if his team allows him.”
