Fans Criticize Chris Jericho and AEW for Using a Fake Ramp in the Ending Sequence of the Inner Circle vs the Pinnacle Match

AEW Universe witnessed a blood-filled match between MJF led The Pinnacle and Chris Jericho led The Inner Circle. The two factions swelled at the main event of AEW Blood & Guts.

While overall the match was good, the ending took a sharp turn towards brutal. MJF and Chris Jericho were at the top of the steel cage, and had busted open each other. It started with Jericho applying the Walls of Jericho on MJF and MJF retaliating by attacking Jericho with his Dynamite Diamond Ring.

Finally, after locking his left hand for a long time, MJF dragged Jericho to the edge of the roof. He threatened to drop an injured Jericho off the roof if the rest of The Inner Circle’s members did not surrender.

To save Jericho from a devastating fall, The Inner Circle surrendered almost immediately. The bell rang, and The Pinnacle won. Unfortunately for Jericho, MJF wasn’t done. He stared down Jericho and dropped him from the roof. Chris Jericho went through, and was completely motionless.

The other members of The Inner Circle tried to get him back to his senses, but were unsuccessful.

Currently, there are no further reports on Jericho’s condition.

However, fans did not seem to be thrilled with the ending.

The beginning of MJF vs. Chris Jericho

The feud between the two factions started when MJF betrayed Jericho to form his own faction, The Pinnacle. This enraged Jericho, but he waited for the perfect opportunity to get back at MJF.

When The Pinnacle took over The Inner Circle’s locker room, the latter faction was waiting to bust them. During that fight, Jericho attacked MJF and shoved his head inside the toilet before the others dragged him outside the locker room and left him there.

Following that, both Chris Jericho and MJF cut excellent promos about how they would destroy the other’s faction. They had a final altercation on the AEW Dynamite episode prior to Blood and Guts.

During that episode, MJF claimed to put down Jericho and his faction. On the other hand, Jericho accused MJF of trying to take over the top spot without making any efforts for the same.

Now that The Pinnacle has defeated The Inner Circle, it’s unknown if AEW will continue the feud and book a rematch. Considering the feud grabbed the audiences’ attention, the company might continue it.
