Floyd Mayweather: “There Will Never Be a Fighter Better Than Me”

In his entire boxing career, Floyd Mayweather fought many hotshots of the sport and retained his undefeated boxing stint till the very end.

With every fight, ‘Money’ evolved, and this helped him stay on top of his game. In his vast boxing career, none of his opponents could terrify him or break into his defense. With the skill sets and aura he brought in, Floyd Mayweather termed himself as ‘The Best Ever’.

Recently, in conversation with Million Dollaz Worth of Game. Mayweather shed some light on his boxing career. He said, “I knew from the beginning I was the best in boxing. From day one, I just knew that I was better than every other fighter. There will never be a fighter better than me, never.” (h/t ESPN Ringside)

In 1996, a young Floyd Mayweather embarked on his professional boxing journey. Even at that time, with a 0-0 record, he was utterly confident in his extensive in-ring skills.

Even after his retirement, Mayweather, who exhibited an unusual defense-based fight style, ranks among the best defensive boxers of all time. In all of his fights, the 44-year-old displayed his exuberant defensive skills, coupled with his strong knockout power.

It was extremely tough for his opponents to decode his fight style, and this is predominantly why the American boxer enjoyed an exemplary boxing run. He beat decorated champions like Oscar De La Hoya, Manny Pacquiao, and Canelo Alvarez with relative ease.
