Epic Games studio is currently engaged in a legal battle against Apple. The recent court hearing has uncovered Epic Games’ future plans about Fortnite and everything that is in store. The studio is actively looking to join hands with more promising franchises to grow the Battle Royale game.

Apparently, the studio had also planned to organize live concerts featuring Lady Gaga, and Ariana Grande. The documents produced in the court hearing also revealed plans about future collaboration with NBA star LeBron James and the iconic anime franchise Naruto.

Epic Games wanted to add Naruto to Fortnite in 2020

Popular anime franchise Naruto has a hardcore fanbase, who calls it the greatest show on earth. This certainly makes it a prominent commodity, as it could help Fortnite reach new heights of popularity. Epic Games had originally planned to roll out Neymar Jr skin in 2020, but it got delayed for six months.

Likewise, the studio wanted to roll out Naruto skins in December 2020, but things did not pan out. Safe to say, the studio is still playing catch up with its own timeline in 2021. This would suggest the collaboration with the popular anime franchise will happen somewhere in this calendar year, and it could include a transformative skin.

The story of this anime character takes place across multiple generations. Fans got to see a youthful version of the character, and as time passed, Naruto evolved as well. The perfect variant of Naruto skin has to be the sage of the six path version. This character skin would look astonishing in the Battle Royale, as it displays the character at its maximum strength.

Epic Games could add various other characters from the anime

The studio’s current collaboration with DC comics has already produced significant results. Batman firmly sits at the top of the comic world, which makes his addition exciting. Meanwhile, Naruto also has a similar reputation in anime and it would make for a lucrative collaboration.
