Kamaru Usman Asks Jake Paul to Enter the UFC Octagon

UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman, and YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul, have been going back and forth online for a considerable amount of time now. Recently, ‘The Problem Child’ posted a photo of Usman getting submitted in what was his only loss as a professional.

That didn’t escape Usman’s attention, and he issued a response to Paul. The welterweight champion asked Paul if he was looking to step in the UFC Octagon with him. The Nigerian Nightmare’ wrote, “Does this picture confirm that you @jakepaul are willing to get inside the @ufc octagon and do this to me or are you just posting for clout?

‘The Problem Child’ moved to a record of 3-0 as a professional boxer after his win against Ben Askren in the main event of the Triller’s latest Fight Card. However, his record can be considered padded as he is yet to fight an actual boxer inside the squared ring.

Usman, on the other hand, is coming off an emphatic knockout win over Jorge Masvidal. In the process, ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ made the fourth successful defense of his undisputed welterweight title.

Paul, who has made a habit of calling out UFC fighters and mocking them online, hasn’t impressed many. Daniel Cormier has already challenged Paul to step inside the Octagon with him. Now, Usman is the latest fighter to call him out, but is this fight even remotely possible?

Will Jake Paul ever fight Kamaru Usman inside the Octagon1?

Paul may have been talking a lot online, but it’s absolutely unlikely for him to ever step into the Octagon with a killer like Usman. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ is considered one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, and Paul, despite his boxing ventures, has never trained MMA.

So, it’s hard to imagine him even trying of making a crossover to the UFC. A UFC champion like Usman has been fighting throughout his life. Hence, it won’t be very wise of ‘The Problem Child‘ to choose such a nightmare for himself.

Do you see Usman and ‘The Problem Child’ ever fighting in an exhibition or a sanctioned bout?
