Madison Beer has called out online trolls for constantly ‘making fun’ of her as she opened up about the toll it is having on her mental health.

The 22-year-old singer took to Twitter to call out those who feel the need to attack other online as she stated she struggled to cope with the constant criticism she has had to endure.

‘so exhausted of everything i do being labeled as cringe or embarrassing like i literally never wanna leave my house again,’ the Selfish singer began. ‘i struggle so f**kin much to do such simple things bc of all the mental health things i deal w that i’ve talked about publicly and still !!! (sic)’.

The Boys**t hitmaker – who has spoken openly about her borderline personality disorder (BPD) diagnosis – continued: ‘still i am literally bullied and made fun of NONSTOP (btw REGARDLESS if u don’t even know someone struggles… why be so mean to people?)

‘i hate this narrative of “don’t make music or b on social media if u can’t handle it” how abouttttt no! don’t be a f**kin dick to people it’s not hard. & if it IS hard for u to either be kind or just not..say anything… do some introspection on yourself & stop worrying about me.’

One fan agreed as they commented: ‘right. lets not normalize bullying on the internet like? no one should have to get used to it.’

‘exactly. i’ve been bullied, discredited, attacked & made fun of every day of my life since i was 12. how could people expect that to not take a mental toll on someone?’ Madison replied.

Another fan spoke out in support of the star as they commented: ‘and then people will tell u to stop taking everything so seriously, that is a joke etc they should be ashamed of themselves by calling bullying a f**king joke, disgusting behavior.’

Madison added: ‘every single time i speak up about this stuff im always told “it’s not that deep” and that i need to relax’.

Taking the moment to share her appreciation for her supporters, the singer concluded: ‘love you guys. thank you for always making me feel heard & my feelings feel valid.

‘they are valid because i feel them, and you never try to discredit that. life is short. just be nice to ppl man.’

The singer – who was discovered by Justin Bieber when she was 13 – opened up about her BPD diagnosis – which she received in August 2019.

Speaking to The Face magazine, Madison revealed that she had been feeling suicidal before receiving her diagnosis but therapy has helped her to cope.
