Moira Rose from Schitt’s Creek has one of the most iconic voices in television – and now a fan has reenacted what it would be like having her as your GPS.

For the uninitiated, the hilarious sitcom followed the story of the Rose family, in which wealthy parents Johnny (Eugene Levy) and Moira (Catherine O’Hara) suddenly go bankrupt, with their only remaining asset being a ramshackle town named Schitt’s Creek.

They are joined by children David (Daniel Levy) and Alexa (Annie Murphy) as they attempt to make their new life work, which results in a variety of hilarious and touching moments.

Moira is a former soap star and is the indefatigable matriarch of the down-but-not-out Rose clan.

In a hilarious video uploaded to TikTok, an actor named Michael Judson Berry has recreated her unique voice in the form of GPS instructions and it’s incredibly spot on.

He nailed her unplaceable accent, her love of unusual words and phrases and her innovative pronunciations of more ordinary terms (our favourite is how she pronounces bébé).

Pretending to be Moira he says in the video: ‘No, no, I said “right”, not “straight”. Why must you be such a churlish ninnyhammer? Now we must reboot. Do you feel my directions are but trifle humbuggery?

‘I’m not doing this for my health, you know. Ugh, the cheek!’

Of course no impression of Moira would be complete without her rendition of the song Danny Boy.

This isn’t the first time, and we’re sure it’s not the last, that Michael has impersonated the incredible character – just a quick scroll through his TikTok will show you other videos he’s made.

During lockdown last year, Michael launched QuaranTeaTime, which involved him pretending to be the eccentric character.

‘My friends and I are [Schitt’s Creek] fans…and I would do all characters, and I just consistently heard that my Moira was pretty good,’ he told Huffington Post.

‘I never really practiced [my impression]. I’ve just always had an ear for voices.

‘I’ve gotten to connect with lots of really wonderful people from all over the world. And [I love] all of the fabulous new words I’ve learned, like floccinaucinihilipilification.’

All seasons of Schitt’s Creek can be streamed on Netflix now.
