WWE’s Shotzi Blackheart ‘mocks AEW’ over divisive Blood and Guts ending after violent Dynamite main event

AEW Dynamite finally brought Blood and Guts to fans on Wednesday night as the main event lived up to its name and legacy – but WWE’s Shotzi Blackheart seemed to deliver a cheap shot after all was said and done.

Continuing the history of WarGames, the match – which took place inside a cell surrounding two rings – saw The Pinnacle defeat the Inner Circle in a violent main event which more than delivered on the action.

In the end, MJF helped his squad to victory as he threatened to push Chris Jericho off the towering structure, only for Sammy Guevara to officially surrender in an attempt to save his teammate.

The villain still pushed the living legend off the cell, but the drop was been criticised by fans after the former world champion visibly fell through what looked to be a mix of a crash pad and painted cardboard.

No one expected Jericho to actually land on concrete or fall through the stage, but many thought AEW should have avoided showing the landing to make things look more believable.

It seems NXT superstar Shotzi Blackheart couldn’t resist a cheeky dig after the big drop, as she almost immediately posted a gif which appeared to be referencing the ‘cosy’ landing.

Jokes aside, it’s important to note just how brilliant Bloods and Guts was.

Jericho, MJF and everyone involved delivered a fantastic match on Wednesday, with FTR stars Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood living up to their pre-show promise of delivering in a major way.

Elsewhere on Dynamite, Cody Rhodes beat QT Marshall only to get laid out by Anthony Ogogo after the bell, while Dr. Britt Baker DMD found out she will face Hikaru Shida for the AEW Women’s Championship at Double or Nothing.

Moments after the big reveal, she went to the ring and destroyed poor Julia Hart.

In more Double or Nothing news, it was announced that Kenny Omega will defend his AEW World Title against either Orange Cassidy or PAC, with those men fighting for the opportunity next week.

AEW also set up two huge title matches for Dynamite on May 12, as SCU overcame Varsity Blondes, Jurassic Express and The Acclaimed to earn themselves a shot against the Young Bucks, and Miro revealed he will battle TNT Champ Darby Allin.

*AEW Dynamite airs live Wednesdays on Fite TV and Fridays on ITV4.
