A Quiet Place 2 release date: When is it coming out on Netflix?

A Quiet Place 2 is finally set to be released to the world after several delays.

The American horror film sequel follows a family to try to survive in a post-apocalyptic world filled with blind monsters with a heightened sense of hearing.

A Quiet Place part 2 will be released in the UK in June 2021

When is A Quiet Place 2 released on Netflix?

A Quiet Place Part II is scheduled to hit cinemas on June 3, 2021 in the UK and May, 28 in the US.

It was just one week away from its release on March 20, 2020, but was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The horror sequel was first pushed to September 2020 before being delayed to April 2021 and then again to September 2021. 

It currently will not be shown on Netflix, but the brand new streaming service Paramount+.

Who’s in the cast of A Quiet Place 2?

The Devil Wears Prada’s Emily Blunt leads the cast as Evelyn Abbott, the mother of three children and is the widow of Lee Abbott, who died in the first series.

Peaky Blinders’ Cillian Murphy portrays Emmett and the actor described his alter-ego as someone who “represents where the heart of the world lies right now, which is: finally feeling like they’ve all given up.”

He added: “Here comes this girl [Regan] who allows you to believe in more, and allows you to believe in yourself. That idea, I’ve always been really enthralled by.”

Millie Simmonds plays  Regan Abbott, Evelyn’s deaf daughter and The Undoing’s Noah Jupe features as Marcus.

Also featuring are Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain Marvel’s Djimon Hounsou and John Krasinski, who will appear in flashbacks as Lee Abbott.

What happened in the first film?

The plot revolves around a father and a mother who struggle to survive and raise their children in a post-apocalyptic world inhabited by blind monsters with an acute sense of hearing.

Knowing that even the slightest whisper or footstep can bring death, Evelyn and Lee are determined to find a way to protect their children while desperately searching for a way to fight back.
