We’re in for quite the ride on Saturday Night Live this weekend as Elon Musk has promised to be a ‘wild card’ as he joins notorious ‘rule-breaker’ Miley Cyrus in his first guest hosting stint.

The 49-year-old’s addition to the infamous skit show divided audiences, and the actual richest person on the planet has plenty to prove when he goes live to millions with help from the Wrecking Ball singer.

In a preview addressing viewers, the Tesla and SpaceX founder poked fun at controversy surrounding his booking after many people felt a billionaire businessman shouldn’t be hosting the comedy show.

The last time a non-actor/comedian/musician/athlete hosted SNL was in 2015, when then businessman Donald Trump was at the helm…

‘Hi, I’m Elon Musk, and I’m hosting SNL this week with musical guest Miley Cyrus. And I’m a wild card, so there’s no telling what I may do,’ he teased to those skepitcal of his debut as a comedy performer.

Miley added: ‘Same here. Rules? No thanks!’

Saturday Night Live’s resident comic Cecily Strong reminded the pair: ‘It’s also the Mother’s Day show so your moms are going to be here,’ to which Cyrus replied: ‘Forget what I said.’

Elon promised: ‘Fine, we’ll be good… ish.’

What are we letting ourselves in for?

Before cracking his first joke, Elon’s SNL gig has been met with a lukewarm reception.

Even several SNL stars have candidly aired their disappointment over the booking, with writer Andrew Dismukes posting: ‘Only CEO I want to do a sketch with is Cher-E Oteri,’ over a photo of SNL alum Cheri Oteri.

Aidy Bryant shared a post from Bernie Sanders, reading: ‘The 50 wealthiest people in America today own more wealth than the bottom half of our people.

‘Let me repeat that, because it is almost too absurd to believe: the 50 wealthiest people in this country own more wealth than some 165 MILLION Americans. That is a moral obscenity.’

And when Elon tweeted: ‘Let’s find out just how live Saturday Night Live really is’, comedian Bowen Yang wrote: ‘What the f*** does this even mean.’

According to sources, SNL boss Lorne Michaels won’t make any cast member appear alongside Elon if they don’t want to, with an insider telling Page Six: ‘Speaking historically, if a cast member has been that unhappy, they don’t have to do it.’

Saturday Night Live airs tomorrow night on NBC.
