Mark Wright has given an update on the house he and Michelle Keegan are having built, revealing that the roof is being put on to the property.

The couple are currently building their dream home from scratch after demolishing a £1.3million farmhouse which had previously stood on the same plot.

Mark and Michelle have been keeping their followers updated on the progress of the build, which will feature five bedrooms and an outdoor swimming pool as part of the design.

They have shared pictures and videos from every stage of the construction and Mark revealed this week that the roof was finally being put on to the shell of the building.

He revealed: ‘In the space of a day, I’ve got to give these boys a shout-out, Wrights Roofing Services, they are the absolute n*ts, they’ve felt and battened the whole of this roof in just a few hours, all the way round.

‘The next stage obviously, after that, is the slates that go on there, the things you see from the outside, i.e. the roof.’

Panning over to another man measuring up the outside of the roof from the scaffolding, Mark added: ‘This guy does the stonework, Glen – what’s your company? I’ll let you have a little shoutout, Aubrey Lodge stonework, there you go.

‘That’s all these stones, all the beautiful stones – they’re a bit dirty at the moment – and he’s now measuring up for the stone that goes over the gable here.

‘But look how the roofers have done, they’ve absolutely smashed it.’

Having come down from the scaffolding around the roof, Mark then showed the tiles that were set to be fitted to complete it.

He explained: ‘And there’s the slates, the roof tiles that we’re having on the top that you now can’t see because of course the scaffolding.’

Mark and Michelle have designed the house from scratch to their exact specifications and have also applied to have a granny flat built in the grounds for Mark’s parents to be able to stay over.
