Tion Wayne and Russ Millions have scored the first ever drill UK number one with their single Body.

The collaboration is the first ever drill track to hit the top of the charts after climbing from number four to the top spot this week.

Body sold 71,000 copies and scored 10.7million streams this week powered by a remix featuring Bugsy Malone, Fivio Foreign, Darkoo, Buni, ArrDee and E1 and ZT.

Celebrating their first number one, Tion and Russ told OfficialCharts.com: ‘We want to thank everyone for getting us the first drill number one.

‘Big up everyone on the remix, big up everyone involved, big up the Atlantic [Records] family… Mad love.’

On the success of Body, Atlantic Records executive vice president Austin Daboh said: ‘Drill music gives a voice to the youth and it’s an outlet for them to express themselves.

‘It’s been amazing to watch Body’s explosive popularity rise to a point where it has completely crossed over into the mainstream with this number one.’

Body sped to the top of the Official Trending Chart last month following the release of the remix after the original enjoyed three weeks in the Official Top 20, boosted partly due to a TikTok challenge.

Contributions on the mix come from the likes of Bugzy Malone, Fivio Foreign, and Darkoo – who had the biggest Afrobeats track of 2020 with Gangsta ft One Acen – along with emerging artists Buni, ArrDee E1 & ZT.

Tion and Russ scored a Top 10 hit in 2019 with Keisha & Becky, which peaked at number 7.
