Eddie Hearn on the Anthony Joshua vs. Tyson Fury Situation: ‘It’s Probably My Fault’

The high-voltage collision between Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury has been in the works for quite some time. After much rigmarole, the fight between the British warriors got official as they signed the dotted line to face each other. However, there have been hardly any updates on this fight’s progress ever since then.

Recently, Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, was in an interview with FightHype, he was asked about the probabilities of Joshua facing Fury next. He asserted that ‘AJ’ will 100% confront ‘The Gypsy King’ next.

Hearn continued on this fight’s progress and said, “Because it’s such a huge deal obviously there’s a long process it has to go through.

“There are 4-5 lawyers. So it’s probably my fault because I told everyone it was done like 2 weeks ago but for me, yeah standby.”

Subsequently, in the interview, Hearn admitted that it might have been his fault to give the Fury vs Joshua fight as the official tag. He believes there’s a lot to be done in terms of contracts and more. And for that, it might take a while.

The world wants to see this undisputed heavyweight collision. And both Joshua and Fury’s promotion teams are working day and night to roll out this fight in the most sensational fashion.

The tentative locations and dates for this fight are yet not clear. But in the past, Hearn was very clear that he’s keen on staging this fight around June.
