Emma Thompson has brought ‘a bit of fun’ to her Vogue shoot, with the star rocking some flamboyant looks as she opened up about turning 60.

The Love Actually actress, who said she wanted to ‘perform’ rather than pose for her shoot, is seen rocking a flouncy red number as she was photographed in Central London – and she looks amazing.

Emma, 62, explained how turning 60 has been a watershed moment for her.

‘I’m not really scared anymore,’ she said told the magazine. ‘Well, I get scared. Though mostly it’s the small stuff. Not, for example, death.

‘I feel like I could die at any time. Then Covid turned up. I’ve had pneumonia, so I thought I’d better be careful, but no one’s through the woods yet. Anyone could die of this thing.’

The actress went on to speak about her passion for women’s rights, saying she gets ‘bewildered’ when women her age are insulted for saying the wrong thing.

‘I fear that kind of event,’ she added. ‘So both feelings are true – trans rights are as incontrovertibly necessary and desirable as women’s rights.

‘The space in which we discuss and put these rights into process must be made safe for everyone. I guess that’s the bottom line, or at least one of them. Onwards.’

Emma is also set to bring her sense of fun to the character of Baroness von Hellman in Disney’s Cruella, as she stars alongside Emma Thompson.

She’ll be working her magic as she takes on the role of the fashion icon, who hired Cruella in the 1970s.

The pair’s tumultuous relationship, however, eventually turns Cruella into the villain she’s best known as.

The reboot also stars Mark Strong, Joel Fry, Paul Walter Hauser, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Emily Beecham and Jamie Demetriou, and we can’t wait!
