Peter Andre details son Junior’s coronavirus symptoms after teenager said he ‘doesn’t want to die’
Peter Andre has shared an insight into life at home with his family in lockdown after they were forced to self-isolate.
The Mysterious Girl singer, 48, has been caring for his family with his wife Emily, 31, after the son he shares with Katie Price, Junior, 15, was struck down with coronavirus.
This week Junior told fans he ‘doesn’t want to die’ from the illness as he stayed home from school with siblings Princess, 13, Amelia, seven, and Theodore, four.
In a new YouTube video, Peter said: ‘Junior had a PCR test and has tested positive for Covid-19. He had the headaches, the body aches, he really wasn’t feeling great. He’s had it – and now we’ve all got to self-isolate for 10 days.
‘The kids are at home and it’s back to home-schooling. Junior’s up in his room not feeling great and Emily has to now do all her Zooms from home.
‘She’s in all day, in one spot in the living room and all she can hear is the screaming and the madness going on in the house.’
In the video, Peter can be seen running after his two youngest children Amelia and Theodore as he chases them up the stairs before they jump on a pile of laundry.
Emily is shown practicing her baking skills as she whips up a red velvet cake while Peter treats his clan to a barbecue.
While Peter has enjoyed being at home with his family, the former I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here! campmate admitted he found it tiring.
He said: ‘Well it has been a crazy, crazy 10 days. Today is our last day of isolation and we are like: “Oh my gosh!” We can’t wait to get out and about.
‘I want to say thank you to everybody that sent lovely messages to Junior, honestly, it’s been so overwhelming on Instagram, personal messages. People have been so kind.
‘I know he really appreciates it, we haven’t seen much of him, I’ll be honest, I think as of tomorrow when we can get out of isolation, I think that will really boost everyone up.’
Earlier this week, Junior detailed his ‘severe… just annoying’ symptoms, telling his followers: ‘The first few days, my head was the worst. My head was banging so much. I don’t know how I got symptoms, because I’m a child, I’m 15. But my head was banging, my body was aching, my throat was fine.
‘And then all of a sudden my body’s sort of stopped aching… my head still bangs but not as much… but my throat is so sore. It’s killing me.
‘It’s not part of the symptoms I don’t think, but maybe I’ve got something else with Covid-19. Yeah, I have Covid-19.’
