Valorant Players Can Rest Assured As Riot Plans on Adding a Replay System

Valorant has come a long way since its inception. Riot Games has been pushing its tactical FPS title hard to build a successful competitive ecosystem for the game. The company plans on making Valorant even bigger than the iconic MMORPG eSports title League of Legends. Without a doubt, devs at RIot have been working tirelessly in order to keep the game free of any complaint from the player community.

Valorant currently features one of the most effective anti-cheat systems, and it features a certain level of balance when it comes to weapons and agent rotation in the game. Furthermore, devs added a new map to the game with the latest update, which features a visible shift from the usual map layout. Overall, Riot has been trying its make Valorantr one of the best FPS eSport titles out there.

Valorant is about to get a ‘Replay’ feature

Recently, on an Ask Valorant thread, Riot Games revealed that it will be finally adding a certain feature that players have been asking for a long time. Ever since the inception of the game, the player community has been asking for a replay feature in the game. The replay feature will be something similar to the ‘killcam’ feature of the Call of Duty titles. This not only shows the player how the opponent got him/her but also allows players to learn from it.

According to the Ask Valorant session, the plan for adding a replay feature is surely underway. However, devs are currently in no position to reveal further details.

Talks are ongoing with multiple internal teams interested in a VALORANT replay system. No, we can’t share any updates as of now, but know that these early discussions are in earnest and we should have an update for you all soon™ :^)

With the addition of the Replay feature, what will be the state of competitive gameplay?

On one hand, there are some in the community who consider this game to be the best FPS eSport title out there. While on the other, there are players who believe this title is filling in for CS: GO, Overwatch, and more.

Now, this is true that the title features gameplay elements from both. The title has been quick in building a loyal player base for itself. This has happened mainly because the devs at Riot have been all ears for whatever complaint the player base has had. This is something the fans have never seen in the case of, say, CS: GO. Furthermore, Valorant is currently one of the only titles with an effective anti-cheat system (looking at you, Warzone).

The layout of the new maps indicates that the devs are trying to introduce more variety in the gameplay. While the previous maps featured straightforward lane structures, the new maps feature more versatility in their layout. Overall, it will be safe to say that the title has come to a good place by its own merit, and offered something fresh to the players.
