Former NFL Player Picks Denver Broncos and New Orleans Saints as Potential Destinations for Aaron Rodgers

Aaron Rodgers is angling for a move out of Green Bay. Years of conflict with the Green Bay Packers have left Rodgers dissatisfied and disillusioned with the team. And now, he is demanding that he be allowed to leave the franchise.

The Packers seem reluctant to let him go, and are trying to convince him to stay. But if he were to leave, where would he find the most success. One former player has picked two teams.

Former NFL player Marcus Spears discussed the Aaron Rodgers situation on ESPN. He believes that the Denver Broncos have a good team that Rodgers would work well with.

Furthermore, the Packers would have an incentive to trade Rodgers there, because they can argue to get Teddy Bridgewater in the deal. If Jordan Love isn’t their future, then they can bring in Teddy Bridgewater to be a starter for the team.

“Listen, Denver is a perfect place. Instead of talking about Nick Foles, didn’t they just get Teddy Bridgewater? If you’re looking for a bridge quarterback, and you don’t feel like Jordan Love, Teddy has played well. Teddy has been a solid starter in the NFL.

“Until you figure out what your future is going to look like, even if that’s Jordan Love, if we’re talking about Denver being one of those teams, and a young quarterback in Drew Locke, I put both of them in there.”

Aaron Rodgers- Denver or New Orleans?

However, the Broncos aren’t the only team that would benefit from Aaron Rodgers. Spears added the New Orleans Saints to the list of teams that should try to get Rodgers.

If he were running the team, he would tell both the young quarterbacks Jameis Winston and Taysom Hill that they will pursue Rodgers and their future isn’t safe with the team. The Saints could use Rodgers as the perfect replacement for Drew Brees.

“Another team I thought about was the New Orleans Saints. I would put Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston on notice and tell them if we need to send you guys to Green Bay to get Aaron Rodgers, that is what we’re going to do.

“I’m thinking about rosters that are close to being Super Bowl contenders or (an) Aaron Rodgers away from being in the Super Bowl. Those are two places I would think of.”
