Kim Kardashian, Gigi Hadid, Drake and Chris Hemsworth are among the stars who have shared touching posts to celebrate Mother’s Day in America and Australia.
Supermodel Gigi posted a moving tribute to her daughter Khai as today marks the 26-year-old’s first Mother’s Day since becoming a mum.
She shared a heartfelt slideshow of never before seen photos of herself with her seven-month-old daughter.
‘The rumours are true: my best friend, purpose, muse, greatest pride & joy!’ Gigi shared with her 81 million followers.
‘I feel so lucky and inspired bein your mama, my Khai !! An old soul full of sunshine, you light up everyone’s days! Thank you 🧡 thank you 💛 thank you 💕’
Gigi shared three photos in total: a blurry image of her holding her daughter who’s wearing a carrot Halloween costume, a photo of her with Khai in a pram and a tender shot of Gigi cuddling her little one as they lay in bed together.
The model also took the time to thank her own mother, former supermodel Yolanda Hadid.
‘Life! Miracles! MOTHERS! Cheers to our angels above & to you @yolanda.hadid, the most inspiring mama and best Oma we could ever ask for! We love you more than words. Eternally grateful 🌷’ she wrote.
Kim Kardashian posted her Mother’s Day tributes to her Instagram stories while also acknowledging her son Psalm’s second birthday.
She posted a variety of photos of the mums in her family, which included Kris Jenner, grandmother MJ, Khloe, Kourtney and Kylie.
Grammy winner Drake posted a tribute to his mother Sandi, uploading two photos of him and his mother when they were younger.
‘Only look for sympathy inside my mothers [sic] eyes,’ the 34-year-old captioned the shots.
He also posted a picture of his three-year-old son Adonis with mother Sophie Brussaux on his Instagram story, captioning it: ‘Happy Mother’s Day big mama!’
Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth shared a tribute to both his mum and his wife of a decade, Elsa Pataky.
He shared a throwback photo of Elsa posing with their three children, as well as a photo of himself cuddling up to his mother Leonie.
‘Happy Mother’s Day to all the brilliant, hardworking, kid carrying, bar raising, husband-putting-up-with-ing woman out there!’ the Australian 37-year-old gushed. ‘We salute you.’
Meanwhile, Mariah Carey shared a snap of her 10-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe kissing her cheek while on the beach, captioning it: ‘All things are possible… Happy Mother’s Day!’
Nineties supermodel Cindy Crawford shared snaps of herself with her two children as well as her mother Jennifer.
‘Forever grateful to @presleygerber and @kaiagerber for making me a mom and teaching me so much along the way,’ the Illinois-born 55-year-old wrote.
‘And for own mom (@jsmaki) who taught me how to love unconditionally. Motherhood is the greatest gift of my life. Sending love to all the mamas out there today and everyday.’
Viola Davis shared a tribute to her mother Mary Alice, who supported six children by working as a maid and factory worker.
