Horse racing tips: Templegate makes his picks for Monday with strong fancies for Catterick

TEMPLEGATE has been in great form this month.

And for Monday’s tips he takes a close look at Catterick for both his NAP and NB.

 

BOLLIN NEIL (4.30 Catterick, nap).

He has been hurdling and his best Flat efforts have come at this track in testing ground. He gets that today and 5lb claimer Ella McCain was on board for his last win.

BETTY GRABLE (2.15 Catterick, nb)

She ran her best race for a long time when a close second at Ayr last time. She can go close over this longer trip.

LANDOFSMILES (2.40 Ffos Las, treble)

He notched up a winning hat-trick at Perth last time and can strike again.

Good win over fences last time and big chance over hurdles.

1.30 Beau Haze       

Solid third last time and won’t be far away again.

2.05 Flight To Nowhere      

Good run over fences last time and every chance here.

2.40 Landofsmiles (treble)  

Plenty in hand when landing hat-trick on latest run.

3.15 Umndeni        

Knocking on the door and doesn’t need a lot more.

3.50 Twojayslad      

Will find this easier than his run at Newbury last time out.

4.20 Isla Di Milano 

 Solid run on comeback from 16 months off last time.

4.50 Dynamite Kentucky    

Two good bumper wins and can give weight away here.

CATTERICK

Good debut at Salisbury and lots to build on.

1.40 Duke Of Firenze          

Veteran who goes well over this course and distance.

2.15 Betty Grable (nb)        

Good effort at Ayr last time and repeat would be good enough.

2.50 Flammarion    

Improved effort at Thirsk and won’t be far away again.

3.25 Zylan   

Good win at Southwell and this soft ground suits on turf.

4.00 Green Believer            

Well bred and yard can get them ready for debut.

4.30 BOLLIN NEIL (NAP)      

Goes well here in the mud and fit from comeback run.

5.00 Donnelly’s Rainbow    

Didn’t get the breaks when fifth at Musselburgh latest.

Won nicely here last time and go close again.

Has shown best form over this course and distance.

Went close in third here last time and should run well.

Showed promise when fourth at Wolverhampton last time.

Plenty in hand when winning here last time out.

Needed his comeback run at Newbury last time out.

Two good runs so far and doesn’t need a lot more.

Good enough to win this if showing close to her best.

In good form on AW and big chance if repeating that on turf.

Good winner at Ascot latest and won’t be far away again.

Went close at Chepstow and this longer trip may suit.

Good effort off this mark at Haydock last time out.

Good start when third on debut at Chepstow and more to come.

Plenty in hand when winning bumper and can progress again.

7.20 Mackelduff      

Looks the type to improve for this step up in distance.

7.50 Supreme Yeats            

Fair novice form and decent mark for handicap debut.

8.20 First Quest     

Improved effort when second at Chepstow last time out.
