Former NFL Star Chad Ochocinco Refuses To Fight Teammate as Part of Floyd Mayweather VS Logan Paul Undercard

In what is to be the biggest white collar boxing spectacle in history, former five-division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. and YouTube sensation Logan Paul are set to square off for a bout at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.

The exhibition bout will take place on June 6th and as any other boxing event will have undercards. So far one undercard has been locked in as Badou Jack versus Jean Pascal.

But fans will be in for another treat as recently as former NFL wide receiver Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson was added to the card as well. His opponent though was not named.

But according to a recent a report, an opponent was selected for Ochocinco. But the wide receiver was not up for it.

Ochocinco not ready to fight his teammate

Ochocinco, a six-time Pro Bowler, has always been a big fan of boxing. In fact, during his playing career, the wide out would go and train at Mayweather’s boxing club in the offseason.

Now 43, the wide receiver has never featured in such a massive exhibition match before. But there’s no reason to believe that he won’t be ready for the fight.

According to a report by Mike Florio, a fighter was picked for Ochocinco to take on. And it was none other than his former Cincinnati Bengals teammate Pacman Jones.

Jones, a former cornerback, played only one season with Ochocinco back in 2010. But it looks like Ochocinco is not ready to take on the 37-year-old Jones.

There is apparently still a chance that Jones can get on the card. But then a different celebrity opponent is likely to be selected for the bout.

Floyd Mayweather keen to maintain his unbeaten streak

Former professional boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr, 44, is arguably one of the best to ever step in the ring. Mayweather went undefeated throughout his boxing career with an incredible record of 50 wins for no losses.

Logan Paul on the other hand is a big-time social media star who has developed an interest towards boxing over the past few years. Brother of Jake Paul, who recently defeated former UFC star Ben Askren in a fight, the 26-year-old has featured in a major exhibition bout in the past.

Losing to YouTube star KSI, Paul has an 0-1 record. And that’s sure something that he’s looking to correct. Logan Paul has a major advantage over Mayweather in terms of height and weight.

Logan stands at over 6’2″ weighing 200 lbs while Mayweather is 5’8″ and weighs roughly 50 pounds lighter than his opponent. Given how things stand, how do you have your money to win this mega bout?
