Former Gogglebox star Tom Malone Jr has teased a potential appearance on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me out of Here! after departing the Channel 4 series earlier this year.

Since trading in bingeing TV with his family to becoming somewhat of a TikTok star and moving in with girlfriend Bryony Briscoe, the 26-year-old is eyeing up future TV projects and would absolutely be up for a stint in the jungle – should I’m A Celebrity return to Australia in 2021.

During an Instagram Q&A with his 315,000 followers, the professional dancer – who has performed with the likes of Rita Ora and Fergie – one of his fans asked if he would take part in either the grimiest show on the box or Dancing on Ice.

‘Yeah sure, I think. I actually think that would be sick, and probably very fun,’ he said, perhaps following in the footsteps of the godmother of Gogglebox Scarlett Moffatt, who was crowned Queen of The Jungle in 2016.

As he quit Gogglebox in February of this year, Tom stressed he was in the market for more TV jobs.

‘So after 6 and a half years it’s finally time to put down the remote and say goodbye to Gogglebox,’ he said on Twitter, alongside a photo of himself holding a sign that quite literally read: ‘Back on the market. Get at me with any TV work.’

‘I’ve loved every minute and I’m eternally grateful to Channel 4 and Studio Lambert for allowing me to be a part of the show. But new opportunities are knocking on the door and it’s time to explore them.

‘I look forward to enjoying the show as a viewer and not having to worry about saying something stupid. PS. Don’t worry my parents and brother will still be on the show to keep you entertained every Friday.’

Ant and Dec recently revealed conversations surrounding the 2021 series of I’m A Celebrity are still ‘up in the air’, with bosses torn between returning to Australia after being forced to give the series a new home at Gwrych castle in north Wales in 2020.

I’m A Celebrity returns to ITV later this year.
