Kate Middleton has a £6 hack which lets her wear heels all day without them hurting her feet

WE rarely see the Duchess of Cambridge step out wearing anything other than an elegant pair of high heels, which we all know can leave your feet aching after a while.

But it turns out that Kate Middleton has a couple of tricks up her sleeve which help her get through royal engagements with ease – and it means no sore feet at the end of a long day.

According to royal etiquette expert Myka Meier, the mum-of-three has been known to use a handful “stylist tricks” to stay comfortable while remaining “appropriately dressed at all times”.

Speaking to Insider, Myka, the founder of Beaumont Etiquette, revealed that the duchess chooses a very specific pair of tights, and they’re just £6 from John Lewis.

The sheer stockings feature gel strips on the soles of the feet which help your tootsies grip onto the soles of your shoes.

This means Kate can walk easily without her feet slipping out of her shoes, remaining poised at all times.

Royal expert Victoria Arbiter also told the publication that “you never see a royal without their nude stockings”.

And added: “I would say that’s really the only hard, steadfast rule in terms of what the Queen requires.”

What’s more, according to a Vanity Fair article – which was published in 2015 – Kate uses Alice Bow insoles too, which help provide extra comfort while walking.

The brand’s website describes its leather insoles as being “designed to cushion the ball of your foot and heels, whilst being thin enough to fit unnoticed into any shoes”.

They’re even shaped at the front so they can be worn with open-toe shoes – although the Queen very much frowns upon that.

At the time of publication, a source told the magazine: “Kate has ordered a couple of packets, she thinks they are great.

“The insoles are all handmade in Britain from fine Italian leather and promise ‘long lasting comfort and confidence.’”

There are a number of different insoles available on Alice Bow’s website, including coloured and personalised options.

There are even bridal insoles, which come in a wedding-appropriate shade of blue.

With prices starting at £16.95, they’re probably about the only thing from Kate’s wardrobe we can afford – along with the tights, of course.

And if they’re good enough for a Duchess… well, they’re good enough for us.
