The SoundSlayer is £250-worth of audio accessory designed for console or PC gamers.
Its usual price has been cut by £51 though, as Amazon’s Gaming Week deals drop it to £200.
A £50 saving on a speaker setup isn’t too shabby, especially if you prefer atmospheric audio as a break from headphones.
Panasonic’s SC-HTB01 SoundSlayer is styled as a gaming speaker, which requires it to have some decent bass.
Afterall, you certainly don’t want to be without any low-end for proper gaming audio – so it’s just as well the 2.1 channel device has a built-in sub-woofer.

That should help with sound for cinematic environments or in first-person gaming where bass adds depth to gameplay. The speaker even has three game modes developed in partnership with Square Enix’s FFXIV Online sound team.
For tech specs, the SoundSlayer supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X and connects via HDMI and Bluetooth. That means it should connect to most devices, although it is designed specifically for gaming audio.
Prime members can get free premium delivery on the speaker if you do want to pick it up speedily. If you’re not looking to make a snap decision, the deal is on for six more days; but it looks a solid option to us.
