After The CW announced Jordan Fisher was joining the cast of The Flash as superhero Impulse (aka Bart Allen) his costume has finally been revealed.

With the show now in its seventh season, the character will make his first appearance in episode 17, which is also the 150th episode of the much-loved programme.

The Flash is a spin-off of Arrow that takes place in the same fictional universe. Barry Allen, played by Grant Gustin, is a crime scene investigator who gains superhuman speed, which he uses to combat criminals, including others who have acquired superhuman abilities as well.

In the comics, Bart was Barry Allen’s grandson from the 30th century, but Jordan’s character will instead be the red speedster’s son in the TV series.

Barry and Iris (Candice Patton) will have their hands full with Bart as they try to teach him some patience.

Even though at this stage we don’t know how many episodes Jordan will appear in, Bart will assist the Flash team in facing their biggest threat yet.

Bart has a loyal fanbase, which means people have been eager to find out what Impulse’s costume will look like.

Now photos of Impulse’s superhero costume have finally been released, and it means business.

Fans will be happy to know that the costume department has been faithful to the comics, with the classic red, gold and silver outfit.

Previously Jordan shared a selfie of himself inside his trailer, teasing fans that he was in his costume.

‘The way I’m wearing my suit right now and not letting y’all get a crumb,’ he captioned the photo.

‘Aight, I’ll give y’all a lil wardrobe leak these are my socks. Sometimes they’re black and sometimes they’re grey. Really just depends on whichever are more comfy.’

The Flash season 7 is airing now on The CW after arriving on March 2 while Sky One viewers in the UK will have to wait a little longer.
