WATCH: Cristiano Ronaldo Poses With Leclerc & Sainz as he Visits Ferrari Factory in Maranello

The Ferrari headquarters welcomed an esteemed guest through its gates on Monday morning. The visitor was none other than soccer superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

His presence was a surprise to the Italian media as he had been involved in a match barely 24 hours ago. Especially because Juventus had lost 3-0 to AC Milan, endangering them on missing out on champions league qualification as they lie 5th in the Serie A Table.

Coming back to his Ferrari rendezvous, he reached the Maranello base in a chopper. Ferrari president, John Elkann and his Juventus compatriot, Andrea Agnelli, accompanied him. The footballer met with its F1 driver, Carlos Sainz, and Charles Leclerc; giving each of them a signed Juventus jersey.

Of course, it’s important to point out that Sainz is a huge soccer enthusiast. He is an avid fan of Ronaldo’s previous club, Real Madrid.

CR7 also had the time to meet with Team Principal, Mattia Binotto. He was also given a personalized tour of the factory, including all the production lines.

What was the purpose of Cristiano Ronaldo’s visit to Ferrari?

Of course, it’s important to point that the Agnelli family owns a controlling stake in both Juventus and Ferrari. So, it could simply have been a marketing stunt to promote both of their brands together.

Or the scheduled visit could also be to add to the Portuguese’s envious car collection. According to Formula Passion, Ronaldo was there to take the delivery of Ferrari Monza SP2. The custom-built Ferrari car has only 499 prototypes in the whole world. And the price isn’t cheap either, owing to its high premium status (around $2 million).

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen is one of the notable owners of this high-value beast. It has a 6.5 Litre naturally aspirated V12 engine that can produce up to 799 Horsepower at 7000 RPM. This engine specification allows the legal road car to go from 0-100km/hr in a mere 2.9 seconds while carrying a maximum speed of 300km/hr.

Truly staggering, we must say! Hopefully, the Tifosi can revel in his visit as their F1 team has also been enjoying a better run on the track of late. Though, we are not so sure if Juventus fans will be on the same page.
