The Brit Awards is always jam-packed with epic moments and this year’s show was no exception, kicking off with a brilliant Line Of Duty skit.

Host Jack Whitehall was seen sitting down to a Zoom call to kick off the show, and was set to be joined by some very famous faces.

However, it wasn’t just Martin Compston and Vicky McClure (aka Steve Arnott and Kate Fleming) from Line Of Duty that joined Jack on the epic video call.

Martin told Jack: ‘It’s time to roll out the big guns,’ to which Jack replied: ‘Mother of God they’re bringing out the gaffer.’

That they certainly did, bringing out the viral superstar that is Jackie Weaver, who found fame for kicking off an argumentative male councillor from a Parish Council meeting Zoom call.

As Jackie filled the screen, she told Jack: ‘Right, shall we bring this Brit Awards to order?’, only for Jack to ask: ‘Who the hell are you?’

Jackie clarified: ‘I’m your worst nightmare,’ before adding: ‘Now listen up you little twerp, if you don’t get on with it then I’ll kick you off.’

Unfortunately for Jack, he was set to face the same fate as the argumentative man in the original video, with Jackie wasting no time in throwing him off the call.

She used the moment to introduce opening act Coldplay – which she dubbed ‘Fourplay’ instead – leading to Martin speaking out to correct her.

However even Steve Arnott himself was not going to intimidate the one and only Jackie Weaver, who threatened to kick him off the call too if he carried on giving her criticism.

That sure told him as Martin soon took his comments back sharpish.

The Brit Awards 2020 airs on ITV from 8pm.
