‘I Don’t Know if She’s Ready’ – Dana White on Kayla Harrison Joining the UFC from PFL

The UFC is always on the lookout for new fighters and superstars, and it might have one in its sights. Kayla Harrison has taken the world of MMA by storm after winning her first nine professional fights in MMA. She is currently competing in the women’s lightweight division of the Professional Fighter’s League (PFL).

Harrison was previously a Judoka and had two Olympic gold medals to her name for America. She had a dominant career in Judo as well and had a record of 45-7 when she retired. She’s also the youngest person in the US to get the 6th-degree black belt in Judo.

UFC President Dana White is aware of this star and talked about her in an interview with Aaron Bronsteter for TSN. Bronsteter asked him if Harrison could be brought in to be a challenger for the current bantamweight and featherweight champion Amanda Nunes.

“I don’t know if she’s ready. I’m always looking for the best possible people to come in and fight. If you don’t think we have offered for her to come over, I just don’t know if her people think she’s ready yet. It’s a whole another level when you get here,” White replied.

Dana White believes Kayla Harrison will face a lot of competition from the UFC roster

White didn’t stop there and explained that the UFC has the best fighters in the business. He mentioned a few fighters that would give Harrison a hard time and hinted that she might move to the UFC when her contract expires.

“Amanda, Germaine, Holly, Aspen Ladd, you got Julianna Pena, the list goes on and on. So, it’s a lot tougher when you come over here. So, I don’t know if they think she’s ready or not yet. We’ll find out,” he concluded.

It will be Harrison’s toughest challenge yet if she will join the UFC. Amanda Nunes has been dominant in her dismantling of the entire UFC roster. If Harrison beats her, she’ll definitely join the lists of the greatest women fighters of all time.
