Piers Morgan in savage row with new GMB host Alastair Campbell saying he’s ‘not even a celebrity’
PIERS Morgan has become locked in a war of words spat with his Good Morning Britain replacement Alastair Campbell.
The 56-year-old was making a point asking how much money celebrities who are “constantly preaching” about mental health give to charities.

Awkwardly, the former Labour spin doctor thought Piers might have been referring to him and called him out.
But Piers replied bluntly: “No, I was talking about celebrities.”
The Sun told yesterday how Piers and Alastair, who is on the show for Mental Health Awareness week, have clashed over the years.
The trouble began when Piers tweeted: “I’m curious to know just how much money famous ‘mental health campaigners’ are making from constantly preaching about it & exploiting their myriad ‘problems’ – and what percentage of that money they give to mental health charities.”
He added: “”Celebrity victimhood is a lucrative business.”
Alastair replied: “‘If you mean me – and I have a charity account which takes a share of my earnings, which go to causes we believe in, mainly mental health and education for poorer children.
“I do paid speaking gigs and often ask for fees to be paid to charity.”
He then went on list his charity associations including Mind and Rethink and said he was a patron of the Maytree Respite Centre and an ambassador for Australians for Mental Health.
But Piers simply replied: “No, I was talking about celebrities.”
