One half of the “Twin Towers”, David Robinson, was one of the most dominating centers of all time in the game’s history. Along with Tim Duncan, they won the NBA championship twice. For this reason, the “Admiral” is the perfect man to induct Tim Duncan into the NBA Hall of Fame. The two players were unstoppable for six years.
The 1995 league MVP, notably, worked in the Navy before he began his basketball career. He holds a unique record of being the league’s first player to lead in rebounding, steals, and blocks in a single season.
David Robinson and Tim Duncan’s influence on the Spurs
Despite playing in the era of Hakeem Olajuwon and Patrick Ewing, he never lost his identity. Standing at around seven foot tall, his footwork was exemplary while being a dominant force at both ends of the court. Gregg Popovich and Tim Duncan were one of the main pillars of the San Antonio Spurs.

“I’m just thrilled that David ended his career with a game like that,” Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said. “His effort was really wonderful. He really dug down deep and showed how important it was to him to help us get this victory.”
“For a second there on the court,” Duncan said, “I really thought, ‘You know what, I’m not gonna play with this guy again. I’ll have to come out on this court without him.’ It’s going to be weird.”
That underrated rookie season
Notably, he finished the game with 13 points, 17 rebounds, and two blocks to claim his second NBA title. Moreover, his rookie season was legendary in terms of the numbers he put up. To sum up, he averaged 24.3 points, 12 rebounds, and 3.9 blocks per game. Those numbers were staggering, although he was just 24 years old.

Having traveled along with Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson, Robinson and co claimed gold in the 1992 Olympic Games.
Despite playing for six seasons with Tim Duncan, Robinson is the most suitable candidate to induct Duncan into the Hall of Fame. The duo was simply marvelous for the San Antonio Spurs, in the same vein, respected each other on and off the court.
