What did Lewis Capaldi say in sweary Brit Awards speech?

The full extent of Lewis Capaldi’s sweary Brits balls-up has now been revealed.

The former double-Brit winner served up a nightmare for ITV bosses, who had to bleep out most of his speech on Tuesday night before he enjoyed a wild time backstage at London’s O2 Arena.

The telly censors were out in force because the Someone You Loved singer started complaining about the temperature in his pants.

Viewers were prevented from hearing him say: ‘Hello mother****ers. I am f***ing sweating. It’s like a swamp down there, I’m telling you. Sweaty bollocks. Hello Brit Awards!’

Presenting the prize for album of the year, won by Dua Lipa, the 24-year-old Scot was bleeped again when he continued: ‘It’s a great year for albums, most of all because I haven’t f***ing released one!’

He was cut out once more — and booed by the crowd — when he added from his notes: ‘Let’s also hope Scotland win at the Euros… I didn’t f***ing write it! I’m just doing a job.’

And the F-bombs kept coming backstage as Lewis partied with presenter Maya Jama, at one stage flipping the bird for the cameras.

Giving him a hug, 26-year-old Maya captioned their rude party snap: ‘Here for a good time, not a long time.’

Flipping the bird became the signature Brits wave as music stars were unleashed to party for the first time in more than a year. As the only member of Little Mix not expecting a baby, Jade Thirlwall looked as if she hit the booze for the three of them as she rolled around in her limo.

The woozy 28-year-old gave the cameras the middle finger, then two fingers, and squeezed her boobs with both hands, leaving her companion to carry her high heels. Before she kicked off, Jade told Guilty Pleasures: ‘I’m taking one for the team tonight! Jägerbombs on tap!’

Sin-Tillating! Sir Elton and Olly rocket to the top of the charts

It’s A Sin? More like it’s a hit! Sir Elton John and Olly Alexander have shot straight to No.1 after unleashing their surprise duet at the Brits.

Their camp-tastic showing of the Pet Shop Boys classic headed a wave of Brits performers and nominees, who scored nine of the top ten places in the iTunes chart yesterday.

Topping the chart is the 74-year-old Rocket Man, who tickled the ivories as Olly, 30, rolled about in a crop top. Proceeds from the single go towards the Elton John Aids Foundation.

Rag’n’Bone Man and P!nk are coining it for the NHS after two versions of their charity single Anywhere Away From Here, with the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Choir, took the second and third spot.

Griff, 20, was fourth with Black Hole and Coldplay’s Higher Power at No.5. Save Your Tears, by The Weeknd, bagged two slots and P!nk’s All I Know So Far re-entered the chart. It was rounded out by nominees Joel Corry and Raye’s hit Bed.

Foxy Roxy saves Jack’s night from being pants

Lonely Brits host Jack Whitehall finally bagged a plus-one for his backstage bubble when his girlfriend Roxy Horner was discharged from hospital.

Before the ceremony, Jack, 32, told GP: ‘I’m a one-man bubble unfortunately. Everyone else has their team. I’m on my own — though I’m hoping Roxy will join me later, she’s feeling much better. I’ve been wandering around asking if anyone wants to join my bubble. No-one does.

‘Normally after the show, you go back to someone’s dressing room — there’s champagne, everyone’s celebrating, but not tonight. I’ll be sitting there, alone, in my underpants probably.’

But model Roxy, 29, did make it to the ball, looking stunning in black trousers and a cream waistcoat. She had been in hospital suffering from an autoimmune disease.

Wine is perfectly fine for Tay & Co

Taylor Swift assembled a celebrity drinking ‘squad’ backstage at the Brits.

Tay Tay, 31, hit the white wine with Haim to toast their wins on Tuesday night. Captioning a snap of herself with booze buddies Este, Alana and Danielle, the Mr Perfectly Fine singer spilled: ‘We meet up every Tuesday night for dinner and a glass of wine.’

She made Olivia Rodrigo’s day by hanging out with the 18-year-old, who had previously gushed that Taylor was her idol.

And Tay sent flowers to Rising Star Griff, 20, who said the note read, ‘Love from your friend Taylor’.

She added: ‘And I’m thinking, “I don’t think I know any other Taylor!”’
