Joe Rogan Enthralled by Canelo Alvarez’s Power: ‘He Works on It All the Time’
Last weekend, Canelo Alvarez put out one of his career-best performances against Billy Joe Saunders. In this fight, Alvarez displayed his defense, power, and so much more to tackle his British adversary. His display garnered reactions from all over the world and even was a subject of discussion on The Joe Rogan Experience.
In conversation with Russell Peters, Rogan said, “You know some guys just have power, right? But he works on it all the time.”
Adding to Rogan‘s juncture, Peters said, “That’s what I say. He’s the most, every fight, he’s the most improved fighter. He always goes back and fixes anything he sees wrong.”
In the Billy Joe Saunders fight, Canelo spent the first round decoding the former’s game plan and strategy. And right from the second round, he went full throttle on ‘Superb’, thus landing some extensive power hits.

The unified super-middleweight champ dictated the pace of the fight and didn’t let Saunders take full control of the ring. Canelo, who kept the fans intrigued by going toe-to-toe against Saunders, remained fairly successful in exhibiting his game plan.
Moving further, it was in round 8, when the Guadalajara boxer struck Saunders with a thunderous uppercut. This punch damaged ‘Superb’s right eye to a massive extent, forcing him to retire.
With this win, Saul Alvarez shut the naysayers.

With a win over Saunders, Alvarez has now automatically set himself up for a mammoth undisputed title fight against Caleb Plant. The official dates of their clash are still not confirmed, but the pair will definitely lock horns in 2021 itself.
Furthermore, this fight has the ability to hook in countless fans, thus staying true to the hype and anticipation.
