Lisa Kudrow’s son confused Jennifer Aniston for his real mum when the Phoebe Buffay star took him to the Friends set as a child.

Easily done.

Now 23, the actress’s son Julian Murray Stern recently went viral after fans couldn’t believe the resemblance between him and his famous mother.

However, when he was a small kid, he couldn’t see it – so much so he just figured the Rachel Green star was his actual mum after growing close to Jen behind the scenes of the sitcom.

‘He got a little confused. I know that he really was obsessed with Jen,’ Lisa revealed on Conan O’Brien’s US chat show.

‘He’d fly into her lap. Well, she’s a love bug, and that made sense. And I was always glad for anyone that Julien felt love for and felt from.

‘But then at home, she’d be on TV, and he’d go, ‘Mommy!’”

While Julien clearly had affections for Jennifer, he couldn’t have cared less about Friends.

‘I know he hasn’t seen every episode,’ explained Lisa.

‘I know for a while, in school, people were watching it. And he kind of felt like he had to, so that he can participate in what everyone else was watching. And he did really think that everybody else was very funny on the show.’

The Friends cast will be reuniting on screen for the first time since Rachel got off the plane 17 years ago in the much delayed HBO Max special set to air in the coming months.

Lisa, Jennifer, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer came together to film what promises to be the monumental TV moment of the year in April, looking back at their time on the biggest sitcom ever made.

The Friends Reunion airs on HBO Max later this year.
