Scarlett Moffatt rose to fame and charmed the nation as a star on Channel 4’s Gogglebox, which is basically us watching her watch TV shows and movies.

So, it should probably come as no surprise to find that Scarlett still loves a good night in on the sofa bingeing all her latest obsessions as much as the rest of us.

As part of Metro.co.uk‘s Mental Health Awareness Week, the reality star reveals the top five movies and TV shows which never fail to uplift her mood whenever she needs a pick-me up.

Ru Paul’s Drag Race

I love all of them. UK, US, Canada, All Stars, I just love Ru Paul’s Drag Race. It’s so wonderful seeing people be their true authentic selves and it celebrates the weird, the wonderful, the different, and it’s just so fun.

‘It’s just so wonderful seeing people on a journey where they start and how much confidence can come from you are what you are wonderful, you are you and it is amazing how quickly people really start to understand what they’re being told.

The Royle Family

It reminds me of being a kid and it does remind me of my family. It’s basically just Gogglebox. It’s everybody sat around the TV, having a laugh and there’s something really warm about it. I sort of forget where I’m at when I’m watching it.

Beauty and the Beast

I love this Disney classic as it’s nostalgic and reminds me of being a child. It gives me that sense of escapism when you get lost in something and almost feel transported to another world. I put it on when I went to relax and feel safe – it ready does feel like home.

Gogglebox

‘I also love watching Gogglebox. Not old episodes which I’m in, that would be weird. I love that you can be in the house on your own but as soon as Gogglebox starts, you’re sat on the couch next to them and I love that.

It’s really nice to see other people’s opinions, the Siddiquis are my absolute favourites, they’re so underrated. They come out with absolutely corker jokes.’

Frozen

For a start, it’s Disney, what’s not to love? I LOVE the soundtrack to this music, I’ve been known to belt it out at the top of my lungs so always great to watch and have a sing along if ever you are feeling down. I also think it’s a beautiful storyline that spreads a powerful message to young girls, such a great film.
