Ashley Cain announces funeral plans for baby daughter, calling it ‘Azaylia’s Day’
Ashley Cain has shared details of his late baby daughter Azaylia’s funeral with fans.
The Ex On The Beach star, 30, and his girlfriend Safiyya Vorajee, 33, lost their eight-month old child in April after she suffered from a rare and aggressive form of leukaemia.
Ashley has now shared information about his daughter’s funeral which is taking place on Friday May 21, calling it ‘Azaylia’s Day.’
He wrote on Instagram: ‘We would like to thank everyone for their prayers, words of sympathy & patience over the last few weeks, while we come to terms with the loss of Azaylia.
‘We have been incredibly moved by the support we have received far and wide and all the beautiful gesture of kindness will live in hearts forever.
‘We have been in correspondence with Warwickshire Police, to understand how we can give people who would like to pay their respects, the chance to do so.
‘Due to current restrictions the family will be attending a private service of celebration of Azaylia’s life, but prior to the Azaylia’s service we will be giving Azaylia her last journey through Nuneaton town.’
The reality star added that the route would begin at approximately 10am at ‘Croft Road – CV10 7DP (small car park by Tesco’s if required)’ before moving ‘into Queens Road – CV11 5LD’, ‘Roanne Ring Way – (Parking in Town Centre, Abbey Street CV11 5NE)’, ‘right into Coton Road (Parking in Riversley Park CV11 5TY)’, and ‘left into Avenue Road (parking at Pingles Leisure CV11 4TX)’.
Ashley asked his followers to adhere to all coronavirus restrictions if they choose to attend.
He continued: ‘As truly difficult as the day will be, we are going to give it our all to keep Azaylia’s day an uplifting day of remembrance for her life and encourage anyone attending to show their love by clapping and making joyous noise of celebration as the cortege goes by!
‘We would love to make her final journey a special one as she watches from heaven. LETS GO CHAMP!’
Azaylia was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer when she was just eight weeks old.
On planning Azaylia’s funeral, Ashley recently wrote online: ‘I always dreaded the first time I’d have to plan a funeral. But I never thought it would be my own child’s funeral.
‘Nothing could ever have prepared me for this. Some days it breaks me and I can’t even bare to do it.’
