It was all smiles for McGregor as he posed with balloons and the custom-made Forbes cake.
He posted on Instagram: “Baby we did it!! Uimhir a Haon. Thank you Forbes for recognizing my role as an entrepreneur!
“It was a dream to lead this list with so many successful athletes! Onwards and upwards we go.”
In the pictures, the ex-UFC champion laid out his Proper 12 whiskey, sports recovery spray and personalised MMA gloves.
All of those were a major factor in McGregor, 32, topping the Forbes list of highest earners over the last 12 months, making £128million.
But having only fought once this year, a knockout loss to Dustin Poirier in January, the bulk of his wealth came outside the cage.
He earned £16m for his UFC 257 defeat to Poirier, 32, which has set up an immediate rematch on July 10 in Las Vegas.
Where the money really came in was after he sold shares in Proper 12.

The deal, which will see McGregor remain the face of the brand, is a major part of the £113m earned away from the UFC.
His endorsement portfolio also includes DraftKings, video game Dystopia: Contest of Heroes and the lifestyle brand Roots of Fight.
The southpaw star brought out a recovery spray called Tidl and continues to push his McGregor Fast fitness programme.
