Roger Federer will feature as a comic book character

In the same way, the Swiss star got himself yet another opportunity to continue his legacy forever. Federer was associated with a comic book character Globi, one of the most popular characters in Switzerland.

Being a fan of the comic book himself, Federer shared his excitement to be associated with a special series titled ‘Globi and Federer’, where the duo travels to Wimbledon to see Federer play, and they will also be visiting a school in Africa.

“Like many people who grew up in Switzerland, I have fond memories of reading Globi comic books. His adventures turned into my adventures”, Federer mentioned in an Instagram post.

The 92nd edition of the comic book series also features guest appearances from Federer’s wife Mirka and their four children. It’s revealed that the Swiss star was part of the story discussion for his comic character.

“I hope you enjoy the stories” -Federer on his comic book release

The Swiss star remembered his memories of reading the comic book in the ’80s as a kid.

Today, as I look at my old books from 1979 and early ’80s, I am honored and excited to actually be reunited with Globi to be able to share our story together. I hope you enjoy the stories as much as we did writing them”, Federer said.

Coming to the legacy of Globi, the character is fondly termed as ‘Switzerland’s Mickey Mouse’ on account of its popularity. The new comic book featuring Federer will be released this week in three languages – French, German, and English.

On the tennis front, the Swiss star has begun preparations for his brief stint on the red dirt as he intends to play the French Open after his home tournament in Geneva
