Jesy Nelson displayed a platinum blonde do as she posed up a storm in an Instagram photo dump on Friday.

The former Little Mix singer, 29, debuted a waist-length look which was a far cry from her usual brown bob.

The pop star, who left the band that made her famous last year, wore a white top and a pair of jeans with colourful patches on the side.

She captioned the pictures: ‘No rain no flowers.’

In December last year Jesy confirmed she was leaving Little Mix after nine years, as she found the pressure of being in a girlband too much.

The musician, who joined the group after auditioning for The X Factor in 2011, has been open about her mental health struggles in the past including a failed suicide bid.

The star sent love to her former bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall as they picked up the best group prize at the Brit Awards in London on Tuesday night.

The group became the first female group ever to win the accolade and they paid tribute to bands that led the way before them including the Spice Girls, Girls Aloud and All Saints.

And Jesy recognised their massive achievement with a post on Instagram.

She shared a red carpet picture of her former colleagues holding up their award and added a row of heart emojis at the top of the image with clapping emojis below.

On stage, Little Mix said: ‘We have been together 10 years. It’s been the best years of our lives, we have gone through so much. We’ve had so much fun, made so many beautiful memories.

‘We want to start by thanking our incredible fans, of course Jesy and our amazing team.’

Leigh-Anne, pregnant with her first child, also took a moment to speak out about the challenges they have faced as women in the British music industry.

‘We have seen white male dominance, misogyny, sexism and lack of diversity,’ she said.

‘We are proud of how we have stuck together, stood our ground and surrounded ourselves with strong women and are now using our voices more than ever.’
