The Friends cast have confirmed that the reunion we’ve all not-so patiently been waiting for is nearly here, sharing an official teaser for the episode on social media.

We were all whipped into a frenzy when the cast – made up of Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), David Schwimmer (Ross Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller) and Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani) – shared a short trailer for the episode, which will be on our screens this month.

Giving us all the feels, the clip was set to a slow version of the iconic theme song, I’ll Be There For You, by the Rembrandts – as the gang walked into the distance together.

It ended with the caption: ‘The One Where They Get Back Together’.

Ahead of the TV moment of the century (too far?) here’s everything we know about the Friends reunion.

When is the Friends reunion on and will it air in the UK?

The Friends reunion, aka The One We’ve All Been Waiting For, will be airing on HBO Max on May 27, meaning we have less than two weeks to wait.

So far, there is no news on whether the special will be airing on the UK, but it shouldn’t be too long until broadcast details are announced.

Until then we’ll be rewatching every single episode to catch up for ‘research purposes’.

Who will be at the Friends reunion?

It obviously wouldn’t be a proper reunion without the main Central Perk gang, with Jennifer, David, Courteney, Matt, Lisa and Matthew all returning for the special.

However, the cast will not be reprising their iconic roles, but chatting about their time on the show – and spilling some inside gossip.

They will be appearing alongside some of their former co-stars, with Maggie Wheeler (Janice), James Michael Tyler (Gunther), Reese Witherspoon (Jill) and Tom Selleck (Richard) among those returning.

There will also be a host of celebrity guests and superfans getting in on the action, including David Beckham, BTS, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Cara Delevingne.

Could we BE more excited?

What have the Friends cast said about the reunion?

The gang have kept all details about the episode completely under wraps, but Courteney – aka Monica Geller – promised that it was as great as we all assumed it would be.

Appearing on the Ellen DeGeneres Show recently, she told the host: ‘It was so unbelievable, so emotional.

‘It’s an unscripted reunion and we got to be on Stage 24 for the first time all of us in, I forget how many years. 15 years? 17 years?

‘It was great. It was really fun. We had a lot of special surprises – and it was fantastic. It really was.’

David Schwimmer gave a little more away while on The Graham Norton Show, adding: ‘I’ll be David. Nothing is scripted and we are not in character.

‘We are all ourselves, although there is one section of it that I don’t want to give away, but we all read something.’

We’re so ready.

Friends: The Reunion is released on HBO Max on May 27.
