ONE FC Heavyweight Champion Arjan Bhullar Wants to Join WWE or AEW After His Historic Win

The wrestling industry often witnesses athletes from other combat sport industries making an entry. It’s possible the industry will soon welcome MMA Heavyweight Fighter Arjan Bhullar.

In a brief promo, Arjan Bhullar explained that he has reached the peak of his current field, MMA heavyweight fighting. Therefore, he will shift his focus to wrestling. However, he hasn’t revealed which company he will join, but specifically mentions WWE and AEW.

It’s a cue for both companies to try to get him to sign with them. WWE is a giant in the industry, but AEW offers more freedom and creative powers to the wrestlers. Hence, the heavyweight champion will need to make an informed decision about which company will suit his expectations of the industry.

The heavyweight fighter won the ONE Championship title against Brandon Vera at the Dangal event. He secured a dominating win over Vera, and called out the two companies during the post-fight interview.

The Indo-Canadian MMA fighter already shares a connection with current WWE Superstar Jinder Mahal, who recently made a comeback to Raw with Shanky and Veer by his side.

In fact, prior to Bhullar’s fight against Vera, The Modern Day Maharaja sent a message to him with his best wishes.

Will Arjan Bhullar join WWE and AEW?

It’s possible if Arjan Bhullar joins WWE, it might put him in an alliance or in a storyline with Jinder Mahal. However, this can only happen if he joins WWE. Situation will be completely different if he joins AEW.

Bhullar used to work with the UFC before he transitioned to ONE Championship. He made his debut in 2019, and now he holds the championship title. Now, it depends on his contract as to how he will make a wrestling debut.

If his contract allows him to appear at WWE or AEW while he’s the champion, he can avail that option. Otherwise, he will need to drop the title first and then come to wrestling.

If he avails the option of making a special appearance, he could go to AEW since ONE has a working relationship with TNT.

Finally, if he wants to join either of the companies with a full employment contract, there is a high possibility he won’t be able to do that while he’s the ONE Championship title holder.
